Muslims around the world will be especially mindful of the Prophet Mohammed on this day, remembering his life, his deeds and his Sunnah

Here is a selection of sayings from the Prophet Mohammed  derived from the Sahih collections to give us a reminder of his wisdom. We apologise for any shortcomings or errors and invite you to correct us without hesitation..

• Allah is gentle and loves gentleness

• What is Paradise? It is what the eye has never seen, nor the ear ever heard, nor ever been imagined by anyone.

• Keep yourselves away from jealousy because it eats away  any good actions like a fire burns wood.

• Everything we do is judged by what made us do it.

• Are there rewards for being kind to animals and giving them water to drink? Certainly, there are heavenly rewards for any act of kindness to a live animal.

• A person who controls his anger when he feels it especially strong, will have a great reward from Allah.

• Whoever believes in the One God and the Hereafter, only speak in a good way or keep silent.

• Nobody can say they truly believe unless they hope for their brothers and sisters what they hope for themselves.

• Allah's kindness towards us is more than a mother's to her baby.
