For me this is one of the
most magical places I have ever been to - the Alhambra in Grenada,
Spain. I know it's not ME or NA but it's close enough and there are
enough Moroccans there to make it feel as if it is!
The Spanish government took it upon
themselves to renovate the entire area that was allowed to fall into
total decay and they certainly have done an excellent job. It is
incredible how the world and its problems disappear when you are in this
place and it is very difficult to leave.
It truly is a testament to the beauty and
grace of Islamic Art and Architecture though a sad reminder of the
history of Muslims in Spain.
